After a fresh install of a Tsunami GTEL DCC Decoder the locomotive has developed the broken gear "ka-chunk, Ka-chunk" similar to Proto gears. My problem is I cannot seem to get the inner bottom of the trucks open to access the gears in order to replace them.
Seems no one including Lionel has any info regarding how to replace these gears.
Any help will be appreciated,

A quick search didn't turn up any dis-assembly diagrams, but it did offer a little info on that locomotive.
It appears that parts are available...all you need to do is figure out how to take it apart.

Might this be a case where the body needs to come off first?
