My favorite holliday is less than a week away, time for the 2019 edition of Halloween Photo Fun.
.
I wanted the theme for my Halloween Picture this year to be Spooky Trees, but this turned out to be a harder task than I imagined.
I have six excellent Spooky Trees that I made from Woodland Scenics old metal "Dead Trees" that I sculpted faces onto using Kneadatite. However, I had a really hard time composing a scene with these that would photograph well.
After six days of different attempts, this is the best I could come up with:
Please share any Halloween themed picture in this thread, and have lots of fun. Halloween is all about fun.

Living the dream.
It's Halloween already? wow, time is getting away from me. This diorama of the Lyon Mountain mine (on display in the Lyon Mt. depot) looks kinda spooky.

Okay Kevin, those trees do look a little spooky!
I'm a bit sad that I don't have young kids to take trick or treating any more, and it's not because I miss raiding their stashes. I enjoyed those moments meeting the neighbours and watching my kids be polite very much!
Now what really has my shorts in a knot is that my son and his wife are throwing a huge Halloween party tonight and we weren't invited!!! How's that for gratitude for freezing my butt off several times taking him around the neighbourhood (the end of October in Ontario can be quite chilly!)
We have stopped handing out candy because there are no sidewalks on our side of the street and we feel that it is too dangerous to expect the kids to cross the street in the dark. Everyone else on our side of the street stopped doing it years ago. Too bad, it was fun. Fattening, but fun!

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
Kevin, Thanks for starting a Halloween thread with some spookiness.
Happy Halloween, Peter
I too love Halloween. This is my first graveyard on my original N scale layout.

I recently built an expansion and added a haunted house on a hill, with an old wood covered bridge, pumpkin patch with scarecrow and another creepy graveyard. I get a lot of compliments on the dead, creepy trees... My secret is: They are roots from weeds and bushes. I just pull some dead weeds from the ground, clean off the roots, let them dry and then trim them up and mount them to the layout! Its free and it gets me out of the train room for a little fresh air. Cheers!

Nice stuff guys. I have no locomotive full of cobwebs this year. I ran the first train through my hidden areas last night, and no cobwebs?
It must have been a bad year for spiders.
Harrison, that is a cool diarama, I've always liked displays like that.

That's all I've had for the last three Halloweens That's kind of scary on its own and it better be scary enough for this year too

I've always liked this thread Kevin. Your trees remind me of Angry Orchard. Keep the posts comming.

Yep, Bad puns and Halloween two of my favorite things.
Kevin - we will be also be getting out the tombstones and the coffin from the garage along with all the other spooky stuff in preparation for tonight's festivities
We live so far away from everyone else no trickertreaters come to our house. My dad brought home some Reeses though, so it's all good.

Kevin that is way cool. We always have fun with that stuff too.
Judy and I are getting ready to watch The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown She already has a comfort fire going in the fireplace.
I like the trick-or-treaters in their little costumes, it's always fun.
Happy Halloween.
Just to stay on track, I really hope one of the trick-or-treaters shows up dressed as a Railroad Brakeman
Trick-or-Treating has wrapped up for 2019.
Super-heroes were the theme this year, only a couple of zombies. Zombies used to be the big thing. Only a handful of cats and princesses.
The little girls dressed a Spider-Man were the cutest.
It was 85 degrees and low humidity. I had a few nice conversations with neighbors. It was a great night.
