The Bachmann forums are very useful. I have belonged for some years.

I am always amazed by how many never think of looking for the Bachmann web site. Forums, company reps, Parts list, Service department, etc.

Google has been my best friend for some years.

I do have two 44 ton with LokSound and other Bachmann locos.

Walthers sought to post the instructions to their various structure kits, if for no other reason than to save the energies of their customer service people.

They do. On all their currently listed structure kits they have PDF links on the item pages for the instructions and the size layouts as well.

You know I have and perhaps most of us have benefited from the HO Seeker website's library of old and not-so-old instructions, but in this era of websites it really could and should be the manufacturers who post the instructions and other materials for their offerings, including older versions.  To a certain extent the old Bowser Manuals did that for even very old versions of their steam loco kits.  (exploded views and parts lists).

It is not easy to find and maybe it isn't even there anymore but at one time it seemed that Walthers sought to post the instructions to their various structure kits, if for no other reason than to save the energies of their customer service people.

No instructions as such but there are the diagrams for two of the 44 tonners.

I have used that site for Athearn but I didn't realize they had Bachmann instructions as well.

If the 44 toner is anything like the 70 tonner, then there should be a screw on the fuel tank to remove. Once the fuel tank is removed then there are two more screws holding the shell to the frame. Removing these should allow you to take the shell off the frame. This is how I did it on my 70tonner, and I’ve heard the 44tonner share many parts with the 44tonner, So the OP could try that.

Help Locating Instructions

Title says it all. What I'm looking for is a set of instructions (electronic copy would work) for a Bachmann Spectrum center cab switcher. I got the unit in question from a friend who gave me all his HO railroad stuff. I'm looking to be able to remove the shell so that I can check the inner workings. As usual any assistance that can be provided would be most welcomed.
