I've owned both the Bachmann (Spectrum model from 2000s) and two BLI models, and I thought the BLI models were more accurate with better paint and details. Never owned the MTH version or any brass models.
I think out of those 3 models the BLI is the best looking and most accurate. However, I sold mine and have just been buying the Sunset versions in 1st and 2nd runs. The 2nd run is better detailed.

I don't have any of those versions, mine is an older Bachmann Plus with smoke that I'm happy with.(I run DC) But maybe my reply will get the attention of someone who does have one or two of the models you want to know about.
Hi, I'm sure this is controversial, but which company makes the MOST ACCURATE HO N&W Class J 4-8-4?
Only reply if you have one of the following models:
Bachmann Spectrum/Sound Value N&W Class J
Broadway Limited N&W Class J
MTH N&W Class J
I have a Bachmann Spectrum one, and for some reason, I feel that some dimensions are off, and dosen't quite capture the class J beauty. Is it just me or is the front bowl shaped smokebox off? (it seems to be more cone shaped than bowl shaped...)
Thanks!
