tomar signals
Posted by banjobenne1 on Monday, September 9, 2019 8:39 PM

I am trying to get the parts for the tomar train order signal #tmr845, and I was wondering if anyone had experince with this signal? Esp. does it work as it should with three positions? Is it very difficult to install? Thank you for your time.

For my train order semaphore I used Hump Yard Purveyance lever quadrants. Unfortunately, these have not been available for a while so you might have a hard time finding those.

Since there is both an eastbound and westbound TO signal it would require two Circuitron Tortoise drivers. That can get expensive quickly and since a train order signal isn't an "automatic" signal I prefered to operate mine manually.

I have several of the Circuitron semaphore drivers using a Tortoise as the actuator and I haven't gotten around to actually installing them. I have tested them using the boards and detectors from LogicRail and they work very dependably but are a bit fussy to initially setup.

Here is the instruction sheet for the semaphore motor from Circuitron:

Hope that helps, Ed
