I have some Shinohara code 70 but I'm not a big fan of it as it requires a lot of effort to form to the shape you need. The ties have a lot of bits of sprue that need snipped off as well.

Last time I was at Central Hobbies in Vancouver they still had a bunch as did PWRS. A Google search will likely help you find what you are looking from somewhere on the planet. I have even found discontinued stuff from Walthers in Germany and ordered it.

Beach BillShinohara HO Code 70 has apparently disappeared from regular suppliers Walthers and M.B.Klein? Anyone have any idea what is going on? Not a single turnout is listed as available.
.
Shinohara is out of production. The plant shut down when the owner retired.

Living the dream.
I've been away from the forum for a while; still working with the trains...
I sought out this topic as Shinohara HO Code 70 has apparently disappeared from regular suppliers Walthers and M.B.Klein? Anyone have any idea what is going on? Not a single turnout is listed as available.

Well I have snagged some new unopened boxes of code 83 at the last two train shows I have been to for $30.00 per box. A deal I could not pass up. Now I just need space to expand my tiny layout into.
Perhaps some liquidator bought a bunch of older stock and now he's releasing it.
The turnouts were very nice.

Walthers was clearing out flex at around $4, so i stocked up
I'm telling you, this hobby is like a magic sock you reach into and get what you need. Out of production? Discontinued? Company clsoed down? No worries, we still have PLENTY of the product! The real question is, where was this massive supply months ago? Hidden, to drive up the price for those who wanted to rush out and stock up the minute they heard the company was going to close its doors? Now it's just so much more excess inventory, so let's get rid of it?

I haven't seen anything indicating the company (or brand name) have changed hands and are now producing track again. More likely, retailers and wholesalers are pushing to try to get their existing stock out the door, possibly hoping that now that it is discontinued people who like the track will want to stock up on it.
I noticed a good selection of turnouts at the shop last time I was in Vancouver.
I have also noticed that Shinohara flex track is showing up for sale all over the place.
Did someone find a shipping container full of the stuff that was forgotten about, or is it back in production?
Ask this question because all of a sudden there is an a lot of flex track on the market, brand new bundles in varius codes.
