riogrande5761Beware, since MB Klein shrunk their walk-in shop to less than 1/3rd what it used to be; on show day you will be miserable. It will likely be crowded and take a long time to get what you need and a long line at the register.
"Beware" is right. If you want to pick up anything at Klein's, best to go through their on-line site first. Write down the Klein's item number, the description, and the quantity. Take that to the store with you and hand it to one of the clerks. Or order ahead before you get to the store and they should have it ready.
Otherwise you'll have to stand in line at one of their computers and get the same information with a line of people waiting impatiently behind you.
If you expect to browse the shelves, for gedda bout it. You will be very disappointed.
The fall Timonium show should be pretty good. Kleins, if crowded, not as good.

Hmm, I haven't been for a few years, maybe I should go this year. It's not really all that far for me.

BigDaddy ModelTrainstuff, aka MB Klein is about 3 miles away. The retail showroom is much smaller than it used to be, but if you don't find it at the show..... Map

It will likely be crowded and take a long time to get what you need and a long line at the register. You might as well just mail order from them instead. My wife won't even go in the store anymore with me after they re-purposed the much of the store space to their online business - it's that bad.

MisterBeasley It might be nice to try that again, now that I have moved to Delaware and Timonium is now the big show within driving distance. It's nice to connect a face to a name.
.
How about we plan to meet in October 2020 at the Timonium show?
That is when I will be there, and everyone can make travel/vacation plans way in advance.

Living the dream.
It's still a ways off, but I remember going to the West Springfield show in Massachusetts. A few of us exchanged cell numbers and met at the show. It might be nice to try that again, now that I have moved to Delaware and Timonium is now the big show within driving distance.

It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
The October show has always been the best in my experiance. I only live about 30 minutes from the show, and have been many times. Not every time, but many.......

While I was planning my trip to Timonium I found a spread sheet on their site that listed the vendors at each show.
All shows seem to have about the same number of vendors.
I am going to the October 2020 show.
I am looking at attending the Timonium show either this coming October or next February, both of which would require some travel plans. Are the number of vendors at this show about the same, or is one show better than the other?
Thx!
