Corsiar,

I have four of these locomotives that are Walthers Proto and I really like them, 1 BNSF, 1 SOO, and 2 UP. They run great, are easy to add a decoder to if you use DCC, and come with extra details like snowplows and winterization hatch. One thing I did have to do to three of mine was file just a very small amount off the bottom of the front pilots because it kept rubbing the bottom of the pilot on the top of my track rails ( I use Kato UniTrack ), so check for that. One other plus is they already come with Micro-Trains couplers which is also great. Also keep in mind that Atlas has purchased Walthers N scale train line and so hopefully they will bring these back again sometime.

Hope this helps,

Ralph
