Hello All,
Have you tried to contact the Lionel Collectors Club of America?
Paint is paint no matter what the scale.
Hope this helps.
"Uhh...I didn’t know it was 'impossible' I just made it work...sorry"
Good idea. Never thought of that.
Thanks Rick:
I've found Scalecoat paint that looks close but can't find anything specific for "Lionel Restoration"
leewal When I had Lionel many years ago I had their three green passenger cars, Maplewood, Chatham & Hillside. Sadly, they were sold when I went to HO. I see Lionel has re-issued these passenger cars. No point in me buying them now, but I would like to attempt to create them in HO by painting similar type HO cars. I can't find any railroad paint that matches or is even close to the Lionel green. Any ideas?

Are there cars the OP mentioned painted pullman green? It was a dark, almost black green color that was common on many railroads heavyweight equipment through world war II, and even beyond. I would think Lionel would make cars in such a common paint color, and I think there should be many options for similar colors.
Regards, Isaac
I model my railroad and you model yours! I model my way and you model yours!
Scalecoat Paint makes 3 different shades of Green Paint to in their Restoration Series for Lionel.

Rule 1: This is my railroad.
Rule 2: I make the rules.
Rule 3: Illuminating discussion of prototype history, equipment and operating practices is always welcome, but in the event of visitor-perceived anacronisms, detail descrepancies or operating errors, consult RULE 1!
