Jarrell's Show Me Something: June, 2019
Posted by gmpullman on Friday, May 31, 2019 11:13 PM

 Welcome to the JUNE, 2019

"Show Me Something"

Thread

Dedicated to the originator, Jarrell

This is a place where forum members can post their photos featuring a view of a "requested" scene or object.

If you show the item requested you can then make a request of your own, or choose to stay with the current request.

After 24 hours, the same rules apply, or you can post a new photo of your choosing and make a new request. Your photos should be of models only, not a "real-life" scene. It's all about having fun! Let's see those photos!

 Welcome Everyone!

 The last request:

Show me another scene with more than one automobile.

Plenty of autos lined up in front of Union Station:

Show me a scene with an auto repair shop or hardware, grocery or drug store in it.

Ed, I was making a June Show Me Something the same time you were. When I posted it, I saw yours. I edited mine into an "oops sorry". Then it got deleted while I was changing it into a different thread. Too funny. I guess we were both excited about the new month.

Here is a hardware store in a scene on the Pasco County Modular Model Railroader Group's layout:

We got the hardware store. Show me a scene with an auto repair shop, grocery or drug store in it.

Laugh This happened to me a couple months ago when starting SMS.

...Show me a bus.

This one's just leaving the train station in Lowbanks, headed for the amusement park on the shores of Lake Erie...

The bus, a Jordan kit, is actually on-loan from the city of Dunnville, located elsewhere on the layout.

The electric shop service truck near the grain bin fan (center left) has a rudimentary boom.

Maintenance of Way vehicles or RR cars please.

Show me another road or train passing by water

I noticed no one ever replied to your request, so here is a picture of a mainline freight (the current request) running over a trestle that spans a road far below (your first request).

Show me a modern mainline (bonus points for super elevation and/or a grade).

I'm beginning to realize that Windows 10 and sound decoders have a lot in common. There are so many things you have to change in order to get them to work the way you want.

By the 1960's, the Kansas City Zephyr suffered from lack of passengers, and sometimes the train had only three cars behind an E-unit. Commonly, it had a baggage/RPO, a dome coach, and a diner/parlor/observation car of the late 1930's.

In my opinion, it is the ultimate "pike sized" passenger train.

Please show another "pike sized" passenger train.

The Adirondack is always pike-sized, ranging from 2-4 cars.
