Lhsonsmall.com As A Vendor?
Posted by Attuvian on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 11:40 PM

Been scrounging the 'net for some Athearn parts that I'm finding are out of stock most everywhere.  I did find them at lhsonsmall.com, and for quite a nice price to boot.  It's apparently a site that sells all sorts of hobby, craft and toy items.  Has anyone out there ever used them?  If so, how did it go?

Obliged, as always.

I didn't know about the site.  I just looked.  Do you look under Parts and Spares?

I haven't compared any prices yet.  I have to look further.

I see the only "contact us" info is an email form.  No number, address or location.

EDIT

According to this site, they have owned the web address lhsonmall.com for 6 weeks.   https://www.cubdomain.com/site/lhsonsmall.com

They advertise 64 categories of stuff they sell.  Would you do that out of your home?

The website looks home made.  The contact email address is not @lhsonmall.com and if you punch that address into  firefox, you get warning not to go to that site.

Search for reviews of the address addy  cpjus and it is a site identified as running scams

Stay away  You did right to ask, rather than order

I just did that, and WOW, a constant list of warnings of scam.  All over Facebook too, I'll have to warn the wife.

Glad I didn't jump at it. The price for a set of Athearn NS replacement wheels for BB locos was almost half off! Probably too good to be true. And I did note both the odd plainness of the site and that there was no discernible location. Thanks for the additional research, guys!
