FYI you “upload” pic on to the internet, you “download” from the internet to your computer!
Regards, Isaac
I model my railroad and you model yours! I model my way and you model yours!
Well join the club. I think there are more dinosaurs in here, (me included) than not!
My wife works with the "older generation" on a daily basis, and she has a long standing joke with all of them that says, "Once your 90, I can call you an old man"
Good luck with your lay out, even though we can't see it!
Mike.

I'm interested! How about some pictures?
Your last thread on how high to make a backdrop brought on some controversey, as to what the distance is between your the two shelves.
Anxious to see what you have!
Well a few weeks ago I started my new and maybe last layout. As you may or may not know I moved to my new house and was faced with downsizing my layout and putting both ho and n scale in the same room. Thanks to many on this forum I got some great ideas. The layout is in a room about 10 by 10 feet. The layout is a dogbone around the walls with ho on the bottem and n scale on the top. Ho is 3 ft high and n is 12 inches higher. By the way I did raise the level of the blue sky to 18 inches thanks to all,it looks much better. I placed my recliner in a central location so I could see both trains while in the chair. Remember this is a permanent layout so I painted the sky background directly on the wall using sky blue and hand painting the clouds. I used 1 by 4 lumber for the legs of the layout fastened with l brackets and then I fastened large l brackets to the wall screwed into the wall studs with long sheetrock screws. I used particle board for the layout because plywood is warped to bad at the lumber store I use to be used for the base. I used one sixteenth plastic sheeting to go above ho and below n scale to hide lighting fixtures. After much thought I decided to replace the 60 watt bulbs in the ceiling to 75 watt led daylight bulbs what arence that made. The n layout is well lit and you can see details. I used daylight led rope light 28 feet long to light up the ho and it works great. I used atlas flex track left over from my previous layout and I soldered all rail joiners at curves and hard to reach places. I used 1 inch pcv pipe for additional bracing under thr n layout along wth l brackets in the wall studs. Needed room for my work desk so I took the door off the closet and installed the desk in the closet,it just did fit, then I added shelving and put a hanging light in there hooked up to a power strip. I used 23 inch curves for ho and about 14 inch curves for n. All my engines run well on both layouts. Just finished the track work and putting switch machines(manual well within arms reach) I did have to get the kinks out but everything works fine. I worked 8 hours a day for 2 weeks to get this far. Next I am going to start on scenery and placing buildings on both layouts. I have found if you create a scene on tempered masonite and put it on the layout, it is a lot easier to detail on the work bench and the put it on the layout. The beat goes on and I will update on the forum if anyone is interested.Thanks.
