Will call them with a potential phone order. Need to get some Bettendorf frames at the same time and should be able to combine the shipping.
like 30 or so if I remember right, postage was cheap but that was about 2 years ago.
rrebell I ordered mine direct.
I ordered mine direct.
How many did you order? And did they soak you badly for postage and handling or was it reasonable?

Attuvian rrebell Accurail sells them, thats where I got mine as I preped for a move. I've had three dozen of the Accurail boxes on back order from my LHS (through Walthers) since late last October. In no hurry so I haven't checked to see if they are available direct. Even so, their boxes are a tad undersized for Howard.

If you're looking for "Fancy" boxes it just so happens that Brass Trains just listed a new supply.

Maybe Dan could work out a quantity discount for you?

I use 5000 count "baseball card" boxes for storing & transporting my HO scale rolling stock & locos See example below
https://www.ebay.com/i/153436925591?chn=ps
I get them from a local sports memoribilia shop owner for 4 bucks each
The number of cars they will hold depends on size & type car...each compartment will hold over 100' of HO car length in two layers with plenty of room for foam on the bottom & between layers.
so 10 auto racks, 20 50' box cars or hoppers etc
The way they are made they can be stacked with weight of the upper boxes transferred thru the lid to the sides & dividers of the box(es) below..have never experience damage to contents
I used large tupaware containers to store the freight cars. Walmart has pleny of boxes at various sizes. It's worth trying.
mbinsewiYou could try Uline. https://www.uline.com/ Mike.
There are boxes that can be custom folded to various sizes.
George In Midcoast Maine, 'bout halfway up the Rockland branch
Spring Mills Depot. I have bought some and they appear quite sturdy, if a bit ungainly due to size. They are for storage not shipping but I assume storage is really want you want.

Are you going to be using an individual box for each car?
Try PaperMart. They have many different sizes of corrugated mailing boxes that are about the size you're looking for. Go to https://www.papermart.com/mailing-boxes/id=18887-index. There is a place to enter the sizes you need so that you can sort.
You are on your own for liners.

Anyone know of a source of HO boxes since Reboxx has seemed to go south?
I'm looking for sizes with lids of approximately 10"x3.5"x2" and 14"x3.5"x2". Cut-out foam liners would be requred. I hope this passes moderator standards as I need boxes to store literally hundreds of models.
Many thanks,
