I belong to a great  group of model rail roaders .

We started as & are still a round robin group !

We started  in Jan 2002 .   Over the years we added & lost members .

We all started in HO .  We have since changed & or added other scales.

We have drifted for a few years .  the members have had good & bad things in our lives .

We hope to have a meeting soon .

I always thought a round robin would be a good to start a club, with out the problems and expense  of having a central lay out, and the expense of a building to house it.

Your group sounds like a great bunch, getting along great, and keeping the "club on the move" going.

Since 2002?  that's great!  Yes

Way back... almost 30 years ago, when I was building the "dream House" layout and my friend Randy was working on his NORFOLK SOUTHERN N scale empire:

.

We had quite a Round Robin group. All of us were in N scale.

.

Me, Randy, Ralph, Rick, and Chris were the core of the group. There were three or four other people, but the five of us had large home layouts that everyone could help out with.

.

After a few years we were down to just four of us. Then I hit financial hard times, and the "dream house" layout stalled. Randy had back surgery and was out of comission. The group just fell apart.

.

Last year, at the Scale Rails of Southwest Florida train show, purely by chance, Me, Randy, Ralph, Rick, and Chris all were there at the same time. We went out to dinner together and caught up. Rick and Ralph are still in N scale. Randy has migrated to slot car drag racing, and Chris is into Fantasy Role Play gaming.

.

It was great to catch up with the old group.

I am in a round robin club, but I just found out that our layout's summer home cannot be used.Sad We also loose and gain members, we are mostly all in HO but have a few N and other scales.
