gotcha, thanks! I realized that nothing was broken and that it was designed (poorly) like that and used some epoxy to glue it into the flywheel.

That cup just presses into the flywheel. Looks like yours came loose.
You can try to carefully press it back in to the flywheel without disassembling things further. Maybe by holding the engine with the cab toward you against something to hold it in place, then carefully fit two "popsicle sticks" or flat bladed tools on either side of the cup to push it back into the bore of the flywheel.

If that doesn't cure the fit you may have to place a tiny bit of Walthers Goo or another sticky type of cement, just a little, onto the cup to help hold it in place.

Hi, I literally JUST opened up my BLI NYC J1D I bought new off of ebay. I can confirm it was new since when I opened it out of the box, the paint was free of any oils, fingerprints, etc. The wheels were clean, and everything was well packaged.
Anyways, after like 5 minutes of running, I heard the motor just hum freely and the whells wouldnt spin. I checked, the wheels were't locked or anything, seems like the plastic part where the motor flywheel joins the gearbox snapped or something, since the motor is slipping. I opened up the engine, and confirmed that indeed, that part is just slipping.
Anyone else have this issue? Is it common? Will BLI send me a replacement motor? I did buy it off ebay, which technically isn't in their guidelines.
Here's a messy video I casually filmed with one hand with my phone.
