Length of Fast Tracks #6 Turnout
Posted by Erie1951 on Saturday, March 23, 2019 5:31 PM

Hello, Crew...

This is what I'd like to do: buy cork roadbed and get it all in place, including #6 turnout pads, prior to making turnouts. My question is if cork #6 turnout pads vary in length or width, especially in comparison with a turnout made with a Fast Tracks jig.

Thanks!

If you google, you can find the dimensions of midwest turnout pads.  You won't find it on the Midwestproducts  site, which lists them as not in stock.

I've always pieced cork together for turnouts.  If you save the sandings from cork, you can use those to fill in gaps.

Thanks, Henry. I can get the turnout specs from Fast Tracks and I like your suggestion of making my own pads. Thumbs Up
