I don’t know how fancy you want but if you do Google Search “wifi light dimmer” there are plenty available even from blue box stores.

Overhead Lighting to simulate Day - Night
Posted by York1 on Saturday, March 9, 2019 10:31 AM

I started railroading about a year ago.

I recently read about a layout with overhead lighting that automatically slowly dimmed every-so-often to simulate nightfall, then a few minutes later the lights slowly brightened again and repeated the cycle.

I'm too old and lazy to learn Arduino, so is there a way to simply buy an outlet, plug in an overhead light, and set up a wifi program to do this?  I've checked several websites, but am unsure what to look for.

I'm not tech savvy, but I think I could learn some simple basics.
