My one and only brass engine - a WMC HOn3 D&RGW T-12, bought in 1974. Also my first attempt at spray painting and weathering!

Happy times!

I sure like that FP. I have a brass snow plow! does that count?

.

Of coarse the beautiful snow plow counts.

.

I bought that FP-7 at a train show last month for $100.00, and it runs good. I was excited to add it to my roster.

I put this family picture together a few months ago. They are all USRA locomotives. From left to right, 0-8-0 switcher, light pacific, two heavy mikados, and a light mountain.

.

.

I have since added a heavy mountain and an FP7.

Nice!

If I was to come across a Heisler chassis like that, I'd be tempted to turn it into a home-shop type diesel conversion, where geared locomotives like that were converted to diesel drives. Usually by logging roads. Some were pretty cleanly done, others had what you could say was a great deal of character. Dan

If the link works here's a Shay conversion.

Having some fun tonight, got my meager collection of HO brass out for a group photo, along with the Heisler chassis I found for $5 at the show today(need to find the boiler/cab/bunker assembly now!).  From left to right, Alco Models/Kumata GP40 with upgraded Samhongsa trucks and a Sagami motor, Overland Models/Ajin GP35, Overland Models/Rok Am L&ER 2-8-0(C&O G9), Suydam/Orion Pacific Electric 1360 Combine, Suydam/Orion Pacific Electric Long Beach 12 custom painted and can motored by me, Suydam/Tsubomi North Shore Line coach(unpowered trailer), Suydam/Tsubomi North Shore Line combine.  Then in the front we have a Ken Kidder Briney trolley, has a can motor swapped in, and a very old Lindsey cast brass EMD NW2.   The second pic is the PFM/United Heisler chassis I found for a fiver at the show today.  Maybe I can find the boiler/cab assembly from one of those guys that parts out brass on ebay.      Mike the Aspie
