Railfanning the P-1(on my layout)

May 12th, 1978

It was a cool friday morning, as I turned my ’74 impala off of Rt. 9 into the “railfan parking lot”, I readied my Kodak for action. A Nathan K-horn in the distance caused me to get ready. D&H GP38-2 #7312, Ex LV, came into view with a Bad order boxcar from rockland siding.

While the P-1 set out the BO car in the yard, I jumped in my car and headed for the Georgia Pacific mill.

The P-1 arrived with a NYC 40 ft boxcar.

As I headed home, I caught #7312 heading back to the yard.

Nice story, Harrison. I like the first shot of the engine curving into the woods. Did you make those trees?
