I'm busy decaling my HO scale GE U50c and notice that on the prototype the 5' shield reads "Union Pacific". All the decals I have and could find cruising the usual sites have the "Union Pacific Railroad" shield.
Does anyone make a 5' "Union Pacific" shield in HO scale? It appears that only the U50C used this version.
I'm not up to date on UP shield decal availability but I can offer this reference from Utah Rails for the painting and shield variants on UP Diesels:

Do the two single shields at the top row corners on the Microscale 87/36 set work?

Or these?

I don't know if these are 60" though. You could email and ask.
Good Luck, Ed
I looked at that ad in Ebay for the tool car emblem, the third link in Ed's reply, and when you see the emblem on the tool car that is shown in the ad, it's gotta be at least 5 scale feet across.

The Microscale set 87-36 for the DDA40X nailed it. Why I didn't see that in my searching is beyond me. Another senior moment, I guess.
Anyway, thanks, I can sleep well tonight.

Glad it helped you out, Larry.
Sometimes tracking down a needed decal can be quite an exercize. Sometimes I need three or four different sets in order to find just the right combination of colors or lettering styles needed to complete just one car. One time I spent over $50 in decals to finish a $15. car kit!
We modelers can be a crazy-devoted bunch.
I hope your U-50 turns out well.

It just so happens THESE just showed up at MB Klein:

Would they be any help?
I'm not all that familiar with UP but if you're looking for a shield you would get six here.
