New GDRMB GTO's for 2005
Posted by GDRMCo on Friday, December 31, 2004 3:22 AM
Our latest product in our passenger line has just hit the rails! The new GTO's are the next step up from the V8 E10AC's. The GTO's produce around 3600hp fom their quad super charged GDRMB RailTec* V8's so these locomotives will be perfect for long distance or commuter trains. A new GTO will set you back AU$500,000 but a pair of GTO's will cost only AU$700,000. All passenger roads should be exited to know that a demonstrator pair from GDRMBX have arrived in America for demonstration runs.

Mitchell,

Check the drawings of a Clyde AJ16C - you seem to matched the dynamic brake and radiator arrangement of that type! They just have a simple blower 16-567C or 16-645E of 1800-2000HP, of course.

Interail (or QR National) have most of the survivors (421 class) working now.

What do you think of the QR National light green? I understand it will be used instead of maroon on standard gauge locomotives, with yellow, of course!

Can you explain the truck design?

Happy New Year (to everyone!)

The trucks are those from the EFS55MACT. They are the same design as GE's Hi-Ad trucks but these have a lead axle steering system and feature outside dual axle differentials.

M636C the QRN green is interesting because those units are working in NSW and I believe NSW's colours are blue and white not green.

For former Freight Corp locomotives in NSW, Pacific National are keeping the big white side numbers, but the locomotives are blue with yellow cabs, the same as other Pacific National units from other origins.

I'm looking forward to seeing yellow units with green diagonal stripes. I never liked the Northern Rivers / Interail blue yellow and orange colours.
