Hello All,
Thanks for the add! I wanted to pose this question to the group. I have searched the back issue archive with no luck. On or around the 1975-1985 time frame (I beleive) there were a set of plans published to scratchbuild this old, broken down, abandoned house. It had clapboard siding (some missing revealing bare studs, etc.) and was totally distressed. Does anyone have these plans or know which issue in which they were published? I understand there are other plans out there as well as freelanced efforts but, there was something special about this one and I wished to recreate the model. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Jason
I just did a search of the digital archives, I found an abandon barn, an abandon school house, and an abandon house made from blocks.
All of these were in the year 2000 plus.
The house that Mel links to would be great looking project, and fits the title perfect.
I just did a search on Google for abandoned farm house, and tons of images, take your pick and start building.
I also searched HO scale abandoned houses, and found many more to pick from, and a couple of old links back here to MR.

Thanks for the replies! Although that is a nice kit Mel, and I did see the ones you found Mike. Unfortuanately, it was none of those. I cited HO Scale as that is what the article's author constructed but, the plans had prototypical dimensions I wished to use as I am an N Scale modeler. I agree with both of you, there are many resources from which to shoose, and I will probably go with one of those when the time comes to build it. Oh well, It was worth a shot :) Thanks again!
don't know if this will help www.loc.gov/pictures/collection/hh/item/me0138/ but has drawings
