LGB repairs
Posted by edradz on Sunday, January 20, 2019 6:31 PM

I have a Grizzly Flats 0-4-2 loco with a bad gear. Does anyone know of where service centers are? I am located in North Carolina.

Thanks!

You may do better going to the Garden Railway part of these forums, this is mostly N and HO folks.  Go to the top of this page, find Trains.com Sites in light gray, then Garden Railways.  Have you tried Google?  (Not my favorite place to look for stuff, but some folks do well there.)

Good luck,

Richard

I would agree with getting on the other forum. I would however give Little Choo Choo over in Spencer NC a call. I am not sure if they work on LGB but I know they work on Lionel and HO at least. Their service guy is fantastic- I had a proto 2-8-8-2 that stumped several other guys- they thought it was the decoder. He tracked it down to a starved solder bond on the board in the engine. He was reasonable on the repair too. Jim

If you can not find anyone close, I know a guy that I volunteer with who does repairs here in Maine. He does a lot of work on our G scale LGBs at Boothbay Railway Village. Send me a private message, I can see if he is interested in your problem.
