QSI DC Sidekick problem
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, December 30, 2004 6:50 PM
I set-up my new QSI BLI Sidekick and it will not trigger the bell or whistle. When I start up my engine it runs fine, but when I hit either the bell or whistle the red light on the Sidekick flickers on and off. But the engine continues to run. What am I doing wrong? can someone help me?

Thanks

I've got a Sidekick and I've never had this problem. Is it connected directly to the track, or to a control panel, instead? I have insulated blocks on my layout, so I connected the Sidekick to the control panel instead of directly to the tracks (an option that is in the instructions). Also, check and make sure that the red wires are connected to the variable DC posts on your power pack and the black wires to the track or control panel, and not vice versa. Other than that, I can't think of anything else. Anyone else got any ideas?
