OMG! I'm a troll. I've been registered here for YEARS!

I missed your 2010 start date.

There are several reasons to post:

  • To help others
  • To learn that what you know isn't so
  • To be exposed to new ideas
  • To have a good time.

Don't wait another 8 years to post.

Ask and ye shall receive.  Here's a cut and paste from an email from Round2! Thanks for the nudge, Big Daddy...

Hi Stan,

The first release will be a 1955 stepside.

We will do a Cameo in the future however.

So first run will be stepsides.  Yea!  Can you say "Custom MOW trucks for my favorite railroad?"  I knew you could...

OMG!  I'm a troll. I've been registered here for YEARS!  And my first post is a whine?  Shame on me. You guys should ban me. I'm better than that!

That said, Henry, Round 2 is maintaining the FB page for CMW. In the end, it's no big deal. They'll be out next year and the stepside/cameo mystery will be solved. I just figured they would take advantage of social media and let folks know about one of their upcoming products. Still, think I'll try a email just to test them to see if they're asleep at the wheel.

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum.

That is good news, my aunt had a 55 Belair.

CMW has been sold.  The press release on their website is lacking a date, however they are now owned by Round2models.com, a producer of vehicles in all sorts of scales and brands.  No mention of 55 Chevy's there, but they also have a facebook presence.

You could either email Round 2 from their website or facebook and let us know what they have to say.

UPDATE: The first run of '55 pickups will be stepsides...

Walthers is showing 4 pickups and 3 box van trucks coming from Classic Metal Works.  1955 Chevys, to be precise. CMW has a Facebook page so I left a message over there. That was six weeks ago and no response yet.  What did I want to know? Simply this. Will their offering be a stepside or the Cameo Carrier. Cameos have been done. What I'm looking forward to is a decent work truck.

Their products are sometimes delayed. I understand why. Global economy, etc. But you think with social media readily available, they would answer a question or two. Anyone have any knowledge of what's coming?  Like I said, keeping fingers crossed for a stepside. What about YOU?
