One of the best is The Locomotive Cyclopedia, Volume 1, by the editors of Mainline Modeler Magazine. Hundman Publishing, Inc., 13110 Beverly Park Road, Mukilteo, Washington, 98275. ISBN No. 0-945434-25-1. Extremely detailed book with photos, blueprints, and descriptions of 44 different steam engines. Price: $59.95

I found a good book at Books-a-Million titled "100 TRAINS 100 YEARS". Authors are Fredric Winkowski and Frank D. Sullivan.
Being old is when you didn't loose it, it's that you just can't remember where you put it.
