SeeYou190This is one of ther craziest things to ever come out of my shop,
I took a few minute's to blow the picture up, and look it over.
Lot's of cool stuff going on there. ( My wife like's it too.)
The "Awesomeness" of it has STUNNED my Wizard for 3 hit point's of damage !
Rust...... It's a good thing !
I "Love" Trestle's ! One of these day's I'll have to build one.
OK. The race is on !
Who will get the last post, before this thread get's locked up ?
Okay, there it is, Thanks for sharing
Last pic of the night from me Nothing better than an old wooden trestle
Lots of memories under this old wooden trestle
And it didn't look like THAT 44 years ago Upper side kick-outs not appreciated
This is a current picture I don't always appreciate it when I do..... I have been known to go back
Childhood old wooden trestle let's eat
Track fiddlerTimmy did you fall down into a well when you were a little kid? That sounds like a terrible experience. Hopefully not but I think you did
No, no ... nothing like that. I just "use" to get myself ( and all of my friend's ) into trouble ....... from time to time. Just like Lassie's friend Little Timmy.
So the other Parent's nick-named me "Little Timmy"
I see your crazy ... and raise you This....
I know , .. I know .... "Off Topic"
( sorry ...)
Timmy did you fall down into a well when you were a little kid? That sounds like a terrible experience. Hopefully not but I think you did
Little TimmyNot a bad thing..... it just result's in stuff like this coming out of my shop.
.
Well, frankly, I just love the stuff that comes out of your shop. Tons of character and really fun.
This is one of ther craziest things to ever come out of my shop, but not at all railroad related. However, it is steam powered!

Living the dream.
Track fiddlerI thought you were a young pup Timmy. Maybe it was the (Little) that was misleading
There's a story behind my name..... but that's best left for another time.....
( " What's that Lassie" ??? " Little Timmy fell down the well" ??? )
L O L !
BigDaddyrepressing the urge to cover in one or two coats is a treatable condition.
Yes.... my Doctor prescribed "Gluemotoron" as a cure.
But the "side effect's ' include an urge to randomly rifle through box's of leftover part's
Not a bad thing..... it just result's in stuff like this coming out of my shop.
Little Timmy Track fiddler I'm I only started using an Airbrush back in July. I have been using "rattle can's" for the past 45 year's.
Track fiddler
Huh It's funny how words tell us a story that we are so used to seeing.
45 years?
I thought you were a young pup Timmy. Maybe it was the (Little) that was misleading.
Or maybe that little green toy truck yep that could be it
Track fiddlerNICE you do nice work Timmy.
Thank's ! I use to build for cash..... but it quickly turned into "Work" and wasn't fun anymore. So now , I build just for me.
You should see my "Other " model's ...
( I build Train's , car's , trucks, plain's , ship's ,tank's, Figure's ...ect.
I use to build in every scale there is ( 1/12 through 1/700 ) but as I got older, my eye's, even with an Optivisor, cant focus on anything smaller than 1/250 scale.... and even that is quickly slipping from me.
Here's a link to some of my stuff.

Hope the link work's .
Little TimmyI find myself trying to get the paint on in one or two coat's.... instead of 5 or 6 "light" coat's.
I'm not sure I've ever had the patience of for 6 coats but repressing the urge to cover in one or two coats is a treatable condition.

Track fiddlerI'm going to have to spark up my new airbrush and get familiar with it. I have a nice mini compressor too. I have no experience with this as it is a new endeavor.
I only started using an Airbrush back in July. I have been using "rattle can's" for the past 45 year's. ( I got way to use to them. ) I find my airbrushing Technique to be a bit "Heavy handed".

NWP SWPI thought about doing something like that Timmy, except an EMD version with a spartan style cab.
I didn't even think about what I was building..... I just grabbed some "spare part's" that were laying around, and this is what came out of the shop.
I would love to see what your Idea would look like. Which EMD ?
NICE you do nice work Timmy.

So much to do with this hobby that I enjoy. I wish I could make more time for it
Track fiddlerWhat are you planning on doing with these. Just wondering since we're talking here.
Their all going to be matching unit's .
This is the completed unit.
Track fiddlerIt seems you're always doing something. That's a good thing
The picture's are just a " false front". They make it "seem" like stuff is getting glued.... what they dont show, is the Month's in between workbench session's .
Track fiddler It does seem to me you like blue a bit.
I got a heck of a deal on a case of Testors French Blue.
Only the Wyler's Gulch & Western locomotive's get the Blue paint.
I do paint other color's too...

I like these Timmy, being a fan of SD 9's myself. What are you planning on doing with these. Just wondering since we're talking here.

If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough!
You're a busy guy Tim.
I have looked at quite a few of the locomotive shells you're custom painting. It does seem to me you like blue a bit.
Looking good Timmy TF
This will be my last picture post for the week.
I kit-bashed an Alco ( ? ) Century 425 ( ? ) , with an Athern SW-7 cab.
This was as far as I got ...
( Trying to engineer a working drivetrain for it stopped me dead in my track's.)
Track fiddlerIf the snow was deeper, more Frozen on the right side of the rails and the snow was fluffy, more shallow due to drifting on the left side, it would want to push the plow over to the left and derail it.
Also ice filling up the flangeways was a problem, too.
Regards, Ed
You know, I do suppose Ed.
I never did think about this before. Derailments make perfectly good sense.

Things that make you go hmmm......Thanks for making me think Ed. Although I may have sprained a brain noodle in my head from thinking so hard
Watched the video now, apparently my smartphone was finally ready to play it. Yep that drift look pretty deep. He did mention something about the freezing rain too.
Thanks for sharing, that was pretty intense I'm glad no one got hurt back then.
I'll see your plow and raise you a plow... but a compact model.

I wonder if the diminutive size was to allow it to share the turntable without being uncoupled from the engine?
Track fiddlerI bet the thing was only really efficient moving along at a decent clip.
Gotta be careful about that "decent clip" since these things were prone to derailing. With one, two or sometimes three locomotives pushing you that could cause some rather uncomfortable moments.
Go to about 2:00 here (or watch the whole thing for the narrative)
From what I recall there was a rumor of fatalities in this wreck and the video was taken down for a while. Listen to the foreman and you find out this wasn't the case. Dangerous work, indeed!
Cheers, Ed
That is correct Ed. No WPP on Saturday and Sunday. I don't know if there is a night monitor to lock it. I certainly can't.
Jamestown North Dakota got 6 to 10 in of snow a couple days ago it's coming. I'm sure the Northern Pacific Russell snowplow could handle that and more, much more.
I bet the thing was only really efficient moving along at a decent clip.
G PaineWPF is out, does this mean we say by by to this one until Monday?
From what I understand we're good until midnight, Central Daylight Time, tonight.
