The recent Athearn Northern Pacific Challenger with oil tender. From what I understand DC/DCC compatible. This N scale locomotive started out close to 500.00 It has come down to 300.00 from a good internet source.

Tempting, but I don't know if I can justify it right now. Too many other expenditures lately.... It's tough not buying it though as my radiuses will accommodate it.

This is the one I want because it fits my road roster. But you should see the multicolored Union Pacific one. They don't get any more beautiful than that !

My vote would be for a RTR model in HO of the AC&F 60 ft 6 in steel baggage cars found in quantity on the New York Central and several other roads. Walthers Mainline quality is appropriate as we need a lot of them.  These cars often made up entire mail and express trains.

Thanks for that suggestion.

I would like CB&Q O5b number 5632.

I road on fan trips behind it along with many others.

I would add ...... CB&Q EMD E5A and E5B ..... More CB&Q Budd passenger cars with full skirts like BLI's California Zephyr cars. ..... North Coast Limited as Walthers name train.

FGE 40' RBL with 12' Offset Doors.

I second the request for the Lima Switchers.  These have only been done in brass and it was many years ago.

MARTIN STATION

I too would like to see both a high quality GE44 tonner and 70 tonner. Although I would like to see them made like Bachmann's 45 ton locomotive which I belive is really a nice engine. The cast hoods add nice weight and the plastic cab can still be nicely detailed.

Ralph

I'm addicted to 44 tonners. In addition to the Keystone mentioned earlier, I bit the bullet and bought a used but clean looking brass one on the bay about a week ago. Should be here later today. How it runs remains to be seen. But yesterday I watched a brand new old stock brass one come... and go. I mentioned to my wife that I had just exersized self control, she asked and I said how.

She asked why I didn't get it. I said I didn't wanna make you mad. She replies, that wouldnt have made her mad. Just let her know so she can log in the checkbook.Indifferent

So parusing the bay again, up pops another Keystone. Buy it now, on the higher end of what I bid for the 1st one, but under my max. Now about 1/2 way thru the build of the first one, I can already see how superlative it runs, and is as well detailed as the brass one. And heavy! I'd rather have it than brass. (It is half brass anyway) Wasted no time clicking keys.

On this thread's topic, I can call it desire satisfied! Dan

In addition to more SP big steam (not cab forwards) I'd like to see some DD35s (Both As and Bs), then some NYC Boxcabs (Ps or Ts), more SD4X series units (so SD40s and 45s and their variants), it'd be nice if the prices of everything went down some, but that's not happening.

SD9 and SD18's with low noses for the rebuilds used by BN, BNSF, MRL, DM&IR, Shelly Materials(really sharp looking unit), IBCX and others that got them after the Missabe  and other roads sold them off.     Mike the Aspie.
