Thanks for the info. I understand what you mean. I was going to run the main supply wire all the way around the layout and run feeder wires off it it to both tracks. Would this do the same thing or would your way be easier. Again, thanks to everyone for your help.

Yes you can, but would it be easer to hook up just two wires to one set of track and put the two track together with two switches.

This shouldn't be any problem at all. Do you mean that you have 2 separate loops with no switches connecting them? Then you just wire up to each loop as you would to one loop. You might consider keeping the wiring the same, i.e. both north rails tied together, in case you connect them at some point.
There is no programming involved beyond setting up your locomotives (and anything else you operate).

Not an expert on this, but if you tie the two tracks together with a crossing or common track, Yes you will be able to run the whole thing off the one system. I'm sure someone will elaberate on this for me. Have fun....Jamie

I am rebuilding my layout for the 3rd time. This time with benchwork and eventually DCC. I have two separate tracks. Can I program one DCC system to run both sets of tracks? If not, how can I do it? Thanks for any and all responses.
