Seems Walthers is taking preorders for another run of those nifty little Plymouth switchers. Only this time, the DCC ones will come with a Lokpilot decodr with keep alive, instead of a motor-only Soundtraxx decoder. Thous I may still go for a DC one so I can put a sound decoder in it.

I'm pleased for you, Randy. Let's hope it doesn't run to a couple of years or more...the wait.
I'm in no rush. Just a reinforcement of my "you don't have to preorder anything" and you can still get it. I can still find the blue undec one I really want, in plain DC, on ebay. Limited run this, limited run that - yet you can always get one weeks after they are delivered on ebay. Back when these came out, it seems some were skeptical that I could ever get one if I waited. Only money I'm spending on trains these days is strictly things that move me towards getting the layout started. I have enough stuff to run for now, I will of course need more the further along the layout gets, but I need the layout first.

And wait and wait and ...
I'm waiting on a D&RGW SW1200 from Walthers - it was originally due mid Jan and now pushed off until mid summer this year. Hears hoping it finally see's the light of day. IMRC is also famous for delaying delivery more than anyone - some projects are 3 years delayed now - others half that or less.
It isn't as if I don't have enough goodies now, so sometimes delays are a blessing so I can catch up on some things I didn't have budget for.
