riogrande5761 I've check ExactRail site and these flat cars aren't showing yet. It may be they are allowing Trainlife to feature them for a period first and then put them up.

7j43k I believe it is not new. It is a re-issue of Exactrail's previous depressed center car in new paint schemes. Ed

"Some" schemes are new but I saw CR and TTX are not new - see the links to the archives:

Rio Grande. The Action Road - Focus 1977-1983
I remember when ExactRail came out with the depressed center flat car around 6 years ago, and modelers noticed that it didn't match any real prototypes, but was a somewhat generic mashup similar to some.
I generally prefer to spend my limited hobby money on models which do match real freight cars closely and the good news is there are alot of choices these days which are fairly accurate models that we have the option to do that; some years ago that was not the case.
I could sure use one like the Bear's for My Gold spike..........
Take Care!

gmpullmanI might have to save my allowance for one (or more) of these guys. I have a soft spot for interesting flat cars and approproate HEAVY loads
Cheers, the Bear.
"One difference between pessimists and optimists is that while pessimists are more often right, optimists have far more fun."
I do wish they'd made a model of a real car. Whichever railroad. I don't NEED a depressed center car to be in any particular road name. They DID travel all over the country.
It is a cutey, though.
Aah, I must have missed that—
It explains why they are calling them "foobies" as far as the paint schemes.
All I saw on the Exactrail site were the GSC 53' - 6" jobs. *
Thanks for the heads, up, Ed.
* Just took a little more data-mining.

Finally, a new freight car I can actually use! In New York Central, too.
Cheers! Ed
