I've got an old AHM Alco Century 424 that I've noticed, after many years of being in storage, has some split drive wheel gears which causes the teeth to not mesh properly anymore. If I could just order replacement gears, I would...but I figure they're long out of production...UNLESS, the IHC C628 uses the same drive wheels/gears...anyone know?
If not, then I guess the next option would be to replace the entire chassis/drive/trucks. Is there another Alco/Baldwin/GE diesel out there that has a similar wheelbase to the C424? U28B? AS-16?
Any and all suggestions are welcome...thx!
