OK, thanks Dave. Just wanted to know, as anybody else checking out this thread, because of the photobucket debacle, if Facebook met the MRR's description of a "photo hosting site", and to be able to submit photos from their Facebook.

Ok, here's the deal. If your Facebook photo is "public" you can link to it here. If you have any other security settings for the post besides "public" it won't be visible. Your other option is the one I use, which is to maintain separate Facebook pages for your model railroad projects. Since I keep my model railroad pages completely public, I can link photos thusly:
^The above photo is on my RGS Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/HOn3RGS/
While you do have to have a Facebook account to visit that page, you don't need one to see the picture I just "hot linked."
One other note... I've found that while this technique works in the short term, over time Facebook may change the URLs of your photos and some dat in the near future the photos will no longer be visible. You will not be notified by Facebook when this happens.
Facebook isn't a photo hosting site and is not ideally suited for this, but for now it's what I do until I can come up with a better solution.

I do not have a FB account but I can see those photos just fine.
What I do is right on the photo then click on copy image url. Then I paste that in my post. Not exactly brain surgury. Facebook saves pictures in the .jpg format it really not complicated at all.
OK, Roberts is a little out of wack, but you can click on it and the correct image opens in a seperate window.
I don't have a Facebook, wife does. Although, some of the family members have asked her to have me post some of my layout pics, which I might just do.
So, with Facebook pics, do you just do the basic copy/paste thing, using the image box ?

Not true, sorry Facebook pages work just fine dont know where he got his info but he is wrong.
BigDaddy No They wouldn't appear as an actual picture. Lots of people don't belong or don't want to belong because of the politics so they wouldn't be able to follow a facebook link. Imgur works just fine for me, and it's free.
