I am sure there are several West Springfields in the USA.

.

I have heard that Springfield is one of the cmost common city names in the USA, and that is why Matt Groening chose it for the city in The Simpsons.

I've been 3 times to the Springfield show and it was bloody cold all three times but probably the best train show I've ever been to.  I'm now too far away so don't go any more.

This will be my 21st year in a row at this show. It's one amazing show that brightens up a dreary time of year. ---  Ken

I just checked it out.  And I thought Trainfest in Milwaukee was big!  This is huge!

Mike.

Typically about 20,000 paid attendance, plus another 4000 or 5000 exhibitors.

This is the Porter loco we brought to Springfield last year. ON loan from Eadyville, Boothbay Railway Village rebuilt the boiler of this loco a couple years ago

teh muesum will have the 2 foot gauge Porter steam locomotive running outside like last year - a real locomotive not a model

Whoa, would like to see the modules that baby runs on!

I'm guessing this involves real track, though?

we bring 2 foot gauge panel track, and install it next to the BLC

Technically it is the Railroad Hobby Show, held at the Eastern States Exposition fairgrounds. When I was a kid who liked to crawl all over the tractors, we just called it "the Exposition".

Rich:

To you and all others posting about a show.

The State it will occur in qould be helpful.  I am sure there are several West Springfields in the USA.

Dave

It is right in the link.

And it is the West Springfield show, not the Springfield show. Two different cities separated by the Connecticut River.

I nearby and have been going to the show since it opened and have hear some saying they looked for the show in Springfield for at least an hour till they found someone familiar with the show. With the Internet, that does not happen much now.

Rich

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

Coming up soon. Note, Saturday or Sunday advanced tickets or get a combo.

I just received my Saturday ticket.

If not familiar with the location, use GPS. Info in the link. I use it a lot for traveling.
