Best smoke fluid for BLI Paragon 2 Steam
Posted by NWP SWP on Friday, December 1, 2017 11:42 AM

Hi there I have searched this question and have gotten no definitive answer. I am looking for the best smoke fluid to use in BLI Paragon 2 Steamers. Would mega steam be okay? I am really limited to what my LHS has in stock because I need it for tomorrows open house.

Any responses would be great.

Steve

Okay, since any response would be great: None.  Why?  They all leave an oily residue on your track that will eventually collect dust and grime and lead to poor operation of your layout - especially DCC.  And, since non-prototype smokers for steam locomotives still don't look all that real, my imagination is good enough.

I liken the above to lines on line poles.  If the poles themselves are good enough, my mind fills in the rest.  It makes cleaning the layout a lot easier, too. Yes
