I would like to have half a dozen SD70ACe units in the various UP with the red sill stripe and UP heritage schemes (SP and DRGW).  If the price was right, I could use a NS, CSX, CN, or KCS SD70 ACe or SD70m-2, as appropriate, as run throught power.  I would really like to have a MRL SD70 ACe bit I cannot justify it since I have not heard of any reports of them leasing them out.  I doubt they will in the near future since they seem to be the backbone of their fleet.  I might be willing to buy one just for the display shelf.

My manufacturer preference would have to be Atlas.  They seem to be the only company that can produce a model without some quality compromise.  I saw the Tower 55 GEVO at the OKC trian show and the model was nice but I canot see spending that much money on a single locomotive.

Well I saw the Bush for only $800. That sounds like a deal to me. I can put it on layaway too by putting down 1/3 and pay it within 90 days So that is roughly $270 a month. Not bad. I am considering it

nope [banghead] only model GE's and Alco's. EMD is our competitor (I work for GE Erie) where we build the best.

Darth Santa Fe The engine in your sig is either ES44DC or ES44AC (GEVO) BNSF has no AC6000's. And the AC6000 is NOT a GEVO

True, but if Athearn or Kato made it, they would be cheaper. The prices of Tower 55 are about what one would expect from, say, Broadway Limited Imports.

I wouldn't mind seeing a few good ones in N scale.

You said it. Broadway Limited Imports makes Rivorossi look cheap. I would love to see an Athearn one.

I got the impression from the EMD web site, both units will look almost identical, unless one of the buyers demand or ask for the tear drop windows, LIke CN.

Isn't that a GE ES44 in the bottom of all your posts?[:)] (maybe it's just too new for your layout[:)])

Lol, smart observing, I think that the website I got it off of said it was an AC4400CW, but I could be wrong. Yes, too new for my layout, not too new for my style though[:D].

Most definately! These are two of my favorite engines, as they are seen out here in Ohio quite frequently. NS even ordered a new batch of SD70M-2s this year, so they should be arriving! SD70ACes in the CSX "Dark Future" paint scheme also add a touch to CSX's fleet! So, yes I vote and would like to see them produced. But I thought that "Overland Models" already released the SD70ACe, EMD/GM demo?

I'd like an SD70ACE in HO. I know Tower 55 is making one soon, but it would be nice if someone would make a less expensive one. (Kato, Atlas, Athearn, Life-Like, IHC[:D])

I know that Overland Models is making the SD70ACe, but they are too expensive; $930.00 for a locomotive. How about from Athearn or Kato?
