Boston & Maine. Late Steam to early Diesel. Rutland, New England Central, Vermont Railways, Maine Central, Bangor & Aroostook, Lamoille Valley, and Central Vermont can be seen running on my layout.

I know, some of these roads don't fit the time frame, but I wanted to cover most of what I saw growing up in the Southern New Hampshire area.

The Great Northern, and a feeder road (the Montana Western Rwy) circa 1948-1950, in the transition period, (Shelby, MT; Conrad, MT; and Valier, MT) in HO scale.

A small, private industrial railroad in eastern Pennsylvania, running between a small coal mine, a forge, heavy industry, and an interchange with CR and CP.

Dirty, beat up first generation diesels in tiger orange and black make up the fleet, except for the owners pet ....... an old Lackawanna camelback that he rescued from the scrap yard torches.

Blue CR and red CP engines, all big and shiny, make for nice contrast at the interchange with the grimy company units.

The Lehigh Valley Railroad from Coxton, Pa. to just east of Lehighton Pa. The year changes depending on my fancy and what I feel like running in op sessions, but the time period is 1960 to 1976

I model the Southern Pacific. Mainly in the 1990s, although I have a F7A and F7B, and I have WP locomotives. The roster is dominated by SD40T-2s, with locomotives as old as F7s and as new as 9-44CWs. I also plan to add some locomotives from Western Pacific; Atchison, Topeka, &Santa Fe; Modesto & Empire Traction; San Joaquin Valley Railroad; Sierra Railroad; Amador Central; Stockton Terminal & Eastern; CSXT; Burlington Northern; and Burlington Northern & Santa Fe.

Late Chessie System in southwest Ohio.Assembling roster with Seaboard System,Family Lines,B&O,C&O,Chessie and early CSX paint schemes. Will also have the CSX roadrailer.Custom decals just arived.Traffic will be coal, ore, grain and auto. Will have GM stamping plant and possibly a steel mill if space permits.Main yard will be Hamilton Terminal.Amtraks Cardinal will make an appearance as soon as Kato releases the F40PH.Roster almost complete and rolling stock is being acquired.Have to sell some LV/PC power from a previous layout to help finance this one.Now just to find the time to work on and complete the layout is the fun part. Not to mention the money. Also trying to find a way to include the Erie Lackawanna.Only way I can think is to make it a subsidary of the Chessie.Do not want to sell the EL equipment.Dan

My railroad is the Cedar Branch & Western. It's time period is "a few years back". The railroad location is vague, rumored to be around the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. It's a shortline sporting a few black-over-yellow engines, mostly older GPs and some SW's. The line happens to connect at each end with a Missouri Pacific division, so run throughs by the Mopac are common. [:D]

The CB&W is based loosely on the current Missouri and Northern Arkansas RR, Arkansas & Missouri RR, and the long defunct Arkansas and Ozarks. [:(]

It's a fantasy layout as far as existing, but the Mopac part is prototypical. As the Outback Steakhouse ad says, "No rules, just right!" [^]
