As the title begs, can someone answer this question....I can't seem to find where to change my location....
Bob Berger, C.O.O. N-ovation & Northwestern R.R. My patio layout....SEE IT HERE
There's no place like ~/ ;)
Bob,
Under your profile name on the right side of the screen, click "Settings" "Manage Profile" then "Edit Profile" at the top of the next page. The "About" text boxes will be located on the right side of the screen. AND make sure you click "Save Profile" when you are finished.
Hope that helps...
Tom

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
not trying to nitpic, but settings doesn`t get me there...next to settings is manage profile...this where i see it...then the "about" boxes are there on right hand side of screen...
Am i ever gonna be able to lay any track???
I've been trying to change my profile since I turned 70 and now at 72 years and 8 months I think I will just give up and remain in my mid 60s.

Thanks, shahomy. You're correct that "Manage Profile" gets you there. The funny thing is that I checked that TWICE before I posted and could have sworn it was "Settings" that I clicked.
Anyhow, thanks for the correction. I edited my original post to show that.
How do you add where you're from under your name?
Same place, ATSFGuy. "Location" is the first one listed under the About heading.
And while we're at it, how do you change your user name? I don't need to change to some clever railroad meme (I'm okay using my 1:1 name), but I'd rather it not be in ALL CAPS. I didn't choose it, it seems to have been assigned to me.

Generally, you can't. Only an admin can change a username, and there had better be a really good reason for it.

I emailed Model Railroader customer service and I took about a month or two but I finally git it changed I didn't even have to give a reason I just told them my then current username and what I wanted it to be and viola new name. Worst they can say is no.

If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough!

Do I have to make an official request? My reason is not particularly good: I just don't want people to think I'm trying to compensate for my shortcomings by over-bowing.
Robert email this address (ModelRailroader@customersvc.com) with your current username and new one it might take a few emails but you should get it. Good luck!
Catt I've been trying to change my profile since I turned 70 and now at 72 years and 8 months I think I will just give up and remain in my mid 60s.
Well, Catt, I'm in the same boat. About six months ago I tried to enter biographical info under "About Attuvian" through the Manage Profile tab. Hit Save Profile and, and, and - nothing was saved. Tried again two hours ago when I first saw this string. Same non-result. I continue to exist in existential MR limbo because no one can find out who I am! That's a major social emergency these days.
Perhaps I'm being techno-victimized because of my age (73). BTW, also Michigan-made (in Jackson).

Try putting multiple spaces in the fields you want to change it might get rid of it. That's how I removed my public email at one point.

Nada. Arrgghh! I think I can hear my computer snickering.
Try emailing MRR customer service they might be able to help.

Good idea. Will do. It can only get better.
