Don't the map, it's exactly the same map that in Trains Special Railroad Maps in September 2013.
If you don't really have one or find a copy. It's the same price of 9.95-9.99 for a 11x24 inch poster.
Amtrak America, 1971-Present.
The amail they send is clear anough to see a lot of the logos if not the actual name - it looks to go back maybe 2 generations for most, so it starts with the Reading and not any of the components of it, and then goes to Conrail and then NS. Plus what originally were the components of the Reading are, in some cases, now parts of regionals, and this poster is clearly for Class 1's. Just one example from the poster.
I suppose they had to draw the line somewhere, or it would never fit on a poster. Clearly this is targeted at fans of modern railroading. If you are interested in what railroads make up the current Big 7, than this is for you. If you are looking for in-depth history of every railroad involved, then this is not.

A lot of the R.R.s were absorbed. I would just like to know a list before I buy the print. They would seriously undermine their sales if you could enlarge it enough to just print it from the ad. I received the offer yesterday and deleted it. The poster just made me sad. I'm not at all in to the modern railroads and seeing all the neat roads I grew up with painted yellow or with dumb looking horsies on them just makes me feel bad.
I'm sure the poster will sell well as lots of younger folks like that stuff. Making it clear enough to read after blowing it up larger would make folks just print it rather than buy it. Smart move on Kalmbach's part!

Shouldn't that be Family Roots
I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.
I don't have a leg to stand on.
I see your problem.
Maybe you should write to the guy selling it, and tell him that. I am sure he would send you the list.
