They put out a French TGV that today is a collectors item.
It is in N Scale as a friend of mine who has this set will
attest. He now has this N Scale set ( TGV ) under glass.

Does anybody make a model of the Amtrak Rohr Turbo trains?

Jouef did make one with Amtrak painting. I had one,but now sold.
This I found on french e-bay. Look like it`s it have a new ROCO motor. Thats good because the orginal motor was very bad.

Actually, that's a model of the original imported RTG turbo upon which basic design the Rohr turbos were based. The Rohr-built turbos had a less-rounded, angular nose.

Amtrak ran both the French-built RTGs and Rohr-built copies. The Jouef RTG is pretty much dead-on for the French RTGs Amtrak used, but differs significantly in the cab and nose area from the Rohr turbos. To the best of my knowledge, nobody has released models of the Rohr turbos in any scale.

In the early days of Amtrak's experimentation with the turbos, the French-built RTGs were used most frequently in the Midwest, on corridor runs our of Chicago, mainly to St. Louis, to Port Huron, Michigan. and (I think) to Milwaukee.
