I have one, yet unbuilt. What a great kit! Very fine resin moldings, etched stainless steel detail parts such as grilles, etc. Their kits are equal to or better than many plastic kits! If you saw the shell, you would be hard presssed to tell that it is resin.

Hi Bob ,
Thankyou for the info . Does it come complete or do you have to get all the extra bits. The next question is , is it mega bucks and where can I get one.??? PLS.

It comes with a lot of pieces and parts, but the instructions say you will need addtional parts - DA wire for handrails, Kadee #58 couplers, MU hoses, and DA SD-60 HTC truck sideframes if you use Athearn trucks and frame.

Speaking of the frame, you must also supply the frame - they say the Athearn SD40T-2 is the best fit, Railpower SD-60M has the correct wheelbase, or the Life-Like SD-60 - correct wheelbase but this chassis does not provide for secure mounting, and requires serious frame cutting.

I'm using the Athearn frame, if I ever get around to assembling my model. I paid $99.50 Cdn for mine. I imagine major shops in Canada either carry it or could get it for you.

Good luck! [:D]

I didn't notice that you are in the UK, I assumed you were in Canada. Central Hobbies in Vancouver lists the kit on their website, for the same price I paid. Here's the web page:
http://www.central-hobbies.com/products/kasloshops.html

There are other shops in Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, etc. that may be able to help you.

Hello again Bob,
Yes I am in U.K. in Cambridge, I will be in U.S. in January for the Springfield Show Mass. We are planning to visit some folks in Brockville Ont. so we shall probably end up at Larkspur Hobbies at Merrickville, it's possible they might be able to get me a Kaslo Kit.
I've been looking at your websight and I am very impressed with your work , in particular the inside of the toolshed. Great stuff. PLS.
