Bachman Locomotives w Sound Decoder

Do the Bachman Locomotives "with sound decoder " such as their 11411ST 2-8-0 (see Walthers site) have a self-contained sound system onboard similar to Broadway Limited Import's with which I have some exposure OR is it just compatible with/accessible by some other sound system purchased separately? It appears that these Bachman models are/have been being phased out. Any opinions as to the quality of the sound and the model?

If it says sound decoder that probably means it's a DCC decoder that has sound on it. It will only work on DCC then, if that's what it is.

No problem if it is DCC as I am too. Wondering whether it has sound like BLI even at rest, or just in motion, or just bell/whistle. Those with one: Are you happy with it?

I am having trouble finding this item on the Walthers site...
I would assume that if it is advertised with a sound decoder, then it is set up with sound. BEWARE. It
may have a MRC sound decoder. If this is the case, then NO it will not be comparable to BLI. I would
email Walthers and ask some questions before purchasing this loco. Dave
