The "International" was a GN passenger train up to Vancouver (the "other" one).

The "Winnipeg Limited" was a GN passenger train up to Winnipeg (presumably the only one).

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.

BRAKIE

However,BNSF units will be seen on CN and CP run through agreement trains.

Back in 2005, I was surprised to see two CP engines in the Wishram WA yard, waiting to head west.  So I s'pose it goes both ways.  Or went, anyway.

Actually, you can do some on-line research:  railpictures.net has a very good search engine.  I just entered BNSF in "railroad" and "Canada-[province]" and turned up dated pictures.

I don't know(!) but look at the 2009 trackage map on this wiki site.  Perhaps they have some limited trackage rights on some limited Canadian rail.  Maybe a teeny owned piece above the US border in Vancouver?

Other maps (google same) show an extensive network but I'm wondering if that may just involve service coordination with other lines, analogous to an airline with "partner" airlines.

Here's a 2014 version:
