Elevator for a train?
Posted by gdelmoro on Thursday, April 13, 2017 6:02 AM

On the DCC Forum there is a post about "Partial Computer Control" but what fascinated me was the proposed use of an elevator to lift an entire train from one level to another and vice versa I assume.

Has anyone ever seen this done? Can you point me to an article, video, diagram showing a train elevator?

I know Kalmbach published at least on book that has a chapter on the idea. I think it was Ceative Layout Design by John Armstrong.

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.

WOW that's "interesting" Zip it!

Thanks for the videos. I can see a few problems with that solution but I guess if it's your only choice ....
