clip art, thats exactly what i will need. that way the image is simple enough to do on a jersy, too much detail will make the image unuseable.

if any of you are interested, here is the website of the bike store. http://www.claremontcycle.com/ There are two pictures down at the bottom of the outside, also you can see his sign too, its pretty cool and i thiks its pretty cool how he is actually trying to mix the two things, the bike store and the old train station. inside there are lots of pictures hanging on the walls of different engines of different erras. he also still has the overhead support for a Gscale engine to run. i need to look around for some track to put up there and a inexpensive train to buy to run on it.

also if anyone is interested, the yankee clipper renovation project at the Claremont junction seems to be going well.

If you want simple go to clip art sites for ideas. However if you copy you may have copyright issues to deal with. The best thing to do is look at there copyright agreements. some sites give there clip art out with no restrictions.

Since you live in NH, why not try different combinations of the proto New Haven logo? Find some combination of BOLD lettering in red/white on a black/blue background? If you have a drawing program, you could have lots of fun with different combinations!

For more fun, your bike race team could use numbers in a similar BOLD scheme

I have trying to post the pic off of my graphics program to the forum
and not been successful. Many cartoonists will draw an article in
motion in slant to convey speed. And if they really want it to look fast,
it will begin to blur on the end. Watch a "roadrunner" cartoon and see
my point.

right, thats what would look good in slant. ok, so what kind of pictures are there out there of an engine in slant?

Can't help you with the picture of the steam locomotive, but here's an idea for you - the locomotive on the front, and a picture of a caboose on the back. Then the unlucky individuals who are eating your dust out of the starting gate will really know they're behind, so to speak!

I am very lucky, I was racing for my local bicycle store and I organized a team, it was very laidback and unstructured, but we all had a good time. well, the store was closed, the owner needed to move to AZ for health reason with his wife. So the future of the team was in question. well, another local guy with some money opened up a new bike store in the same town and offered to sponsor us. he also owns a car dealership and it is right next to the claremont-concord junction in Claremont, NH. infact he owns the passenger station at the junction. it hasnt been used a a real station for a long time, the train does stop there but there are no indoors facilities for the passengers. anyhow, that is where the new bike store is located. the new store is called Claremont Cycle Depot. and the new jersy for the bike racing team needs to be done. talk of having a train in the logo is prefered. so here is my question after that whole speal.....

can people post pictures of a Steam engine that can show or give the feeling of speed and Strength? the picture can have a bit of cartoonish feel to it if it adds to the feeling of Strength and speed.

the pic needs to be a bit simple otherwise it wont transfer to an image on the jersy well.

I am so excited, two of my interests are combined into one!
