Well eBay does offer some protection for the buyers and sellers. Anyone could post a for sale notice on a free for all forum, collect the money and then not deliver. Or deliver something that was not as promoted. I'm personally more comfortable with an established venue like eBay.
But I have no objections to such a forum, although I would never think of participating.

Hello and Happy Hoildays to all. I have a question for all of you? Is there a good forum to hang out at that the guys Swap and sell or buy used H.O. or any scale equipment? If there isnt could one be started here, or is it against the rules of this board? It could be sectioned into different catagories as to scale,Railroad artifacts, ect. ect. ect. Just my .02 cents. Just sometimes I get tired of the eBay Hobbyshop!!!!! Kevin
