Yah, yer right.  That's pretty Canadian, eh?

South of the border, the term appears to be more related to Tequila.

John:

I have three of the engines, which in my opinion were the only good part of the sets.

One thing that happened here in southern Ontario  was that a lot of show vendors started going into stores and buying a dozen or more sets for the purpose of profit, by inflating the price.

I have no idea why they were diccontinued.

Christmas and President's Choice Train Sets (It might be a Canadian thing)

From 1992 to 2006 up in Canada, Christmas meant the new PC Express trainset. Today at Christmas, the sets are just a memory (unless you plan to buy one from those auction sites). I wrote about the history of the PC sets, and how they became linked to Christmas, on my blog.

Anyone else have memories of those PC Express trains?
