not sure Rich i just got the pictures from ebay as the locomotive have not arrival yet. But judging from the view it looks like it can only fit one
Open the tender and post a picture. Size of speaker in it?
I would guess a Tsunami shrink wrapped decoder is in it. Plug in or hardwired?
I saw a non sound install at the TCS decoder site and an eight pin socket is in the loco.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
Well that good to know thanks for the repl. Now i am wonder if it would be hard to replace the standard deocder with the Loksound one. the tender looks big enought that i might be able to put another speaker in it
Those locomotives were delivered with an ESULoksound decoder. I didn't like the sound files on mine, an early model with DCC/sound first offered in 2006, so I had a good friend install a Tsunami. The hooter whistle is quite good, but I don't like the articulated steam sounds. I just haven't gotten around to replacing it because I moved on to other things.
My locomotive runs quite reliably. Hopefully yours does as well.
Just won an auction for a 2 6 6 6 with dcc and sound got it for 195 dollars. The pictures from the auction show a soundtraxx decoder. Anyone know how well do these run.
