Many thanks for those links. YOWZER! I know inflation and all that but $62???? I guess he'll have to wait for the Last Will to be read! I paid $6.95 for it and thought it was high then! lol When did aluminum become a precious metal?

I have plans around here somewhere for a home shop-made PVC whistle. I'll have to dig them out and have another look at those plans.
Good Luck, Ed
A long time ago about 1975-76 a fellow named Steve Mintz sold some really great aluminum whistles for modelers. They were supposedly replicas of an NKP Berkshire whistle and could be blown by mouth, air compressor or used on live steamers. I remember he sold the company to someone and I believe it was sold a second time. I think Walthers sold them at one time but they only carry those lousy wooden ones in the current catalog.
Does anyone know if they are still made and how to get one? My Grandson has fallen in love with mine and I'm not ready to part with it as yet!
Thanks,
