Ambroid 1 in 5000 kits were actually manufactured by Northeastern Scale Lumber. Maybe that's why the OP came up with Ambroid.

I believe you're thinking of Northeastern Scale Lumber, as opposed to Ambroid.

I believe you'll find what you're looking for on page 11 of this catalog:

Pullman Coach Truck Bolsters
Posted by cnjman721 on Sunday, November 20, 2016 5:49 PM

Back to the hobby after decades away, I am resurrecting some cars and kits that lay fallow all that time. I'm restoring an old wood Pullman coach kits with metal sides and ends. Somehow the brand name Ambroid floats up out of the recesses of my memory. In any case, does anyone have any recommendations for scratchbuilding the center sills and truck bolsters. The kit has a flat wood floor.

I have the MRR 75 year collection CDs but if they contain an article providing an answer to that question, I was unable to find it.

Mnay thanks,

Ed
